Experienced RTG Operator – Container Terminal

About the role

We are looking for an experienced RTG Operator to join SPARK Logistics’ container terminal. The role involves safe and efficient operation of Rubber Tyred Gantry (RTG) cranes to support loading, unloading, stacking and yard movements while adhering to safety and operational standards.

Key responsibilities

• Operate RTG cranes safely and efficiently for container handling, including loading, unloading, stacking, grounding and yard movements.
• Utilize automated RTG functions such as yard profiling, auto‑gantry, soft landing and anti‑collision systems.
• Execute jobs received through ROS/SCADA systems and perform RTG block changes following remote operation protocols.
• Conduct routine inspections, report equipment issues and coordinate with Terminal Operations, Engineering and HSSE teams to minimise downtime.
• Support physical inventory counts and daily operational reporting while ensuring compliance with ISO 45001 OHS policies.

Required profile

• Secondary School Certificate or equivalent.
• Minimum 6 years of hands‑on RTG operation and container‑handling experience.
• Additional certification or training in RTG automation preferred.
• Ability to work outdoors in a terminal environment and strong focus on safety.
• Good communication skills in English and Arabic.
