Field Service Engineer

About the role

As a Field Service Engineer within ABB's Robotics business, you will execute low to medium complexity service tasks following ABB’s standard processes, quality standards, and safety guidelines. You will plan and perform work on a first‑time‑right basis, demonstrating urgency and care in your responsibilities.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver high‑quality service in compliance with ABB service procedures.
• Identify and resolve system and user problems promptly.
• Build strong relationships with customers and identify new business opportunities.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on robotics systems.
• Program robot and PLC logic, conduct testing, troubleshooting, and RobotStudio simulations.
• Communicate analytical findings to ABB R&D to determine root causes.
• Provide product training to customers.
• Collaborate with service sales to support enquiries and sell maintenance contracts and spare parts.

Required profile

• Degree or diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, or Electronics Engineering.
• Minimum five years of experience in an automation environment.
