Financial Controller Sr. Manager

About the role

The Financial Controller Sr. Manager is the custodian of financial integrity, control and compliance for Liferay and its subsidiaries in Saudi Arabia. The role ensures accurate financial reporting, robust internal controls and full compliance with IFRS (KSA), Zakat, VAT and other regulatory requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Establish, enforce and continuously improve the financial control framework across all finance processes.
• Approve financial policies, accounting manuals and provide final authority on IFRS interpretation and complex accounting treatments.
• Oversee month‑end, quarter‑end and year‑end close, ensuring balance‑sheet integrity and consistent application of accounting policies.
• Lead and manage the Accounting Operations Manager and the GL, AP, AR, Fixed Assets, Inventory and Payroll functions.
• Review and approve material journal entries, reconciliations, estimates and provisions.
• Own Zakat, VAT, withholding tax compliance, review tax filings and lead interactions with ZATCA.
• Direct the cost‑accounting framework for pharmaceutical manufacturing, including standard costing, variance analysis and inventory valuation.

Required profile

• Minimum 8 years of progressive finance experience, preferably in a multinational environment.
• Deep knowledge of IFRS as adopted in KSA and Saudi tax regulations.
• Proven experience leading finance teams and managing complex accounting functions.
• Strong analytical and risk‑management capabilities.
