Forklift Mechanical Technician

About the role

United Supply Trading Co. (UST) in Jeddah is looking for a Forklift Mechanical Technician to keep its fleet of forklifts and material‑handling equipment running safely and efficiently. The role involves preventive maintenance, fault diagnosis and timely repairs to minimise downtime and support the company’s supply‑chain operations.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out scheduled preventive maintenance and detailed inspections on all forklifts and related equipment.
• Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic and electrical faults using appropriate diagnostic tools.
• Perform repairs and replace components such as engines, transmissions, electrical parts and hydraulic systems.
• Maintain accurate service records and update maintenance logs.
• Manage spare‑part inventory, ordering items as needed to ensure availability.
• Coordinate with the operations team to schedule work and avoid disruption.
• Provide technical guidance to equipment operators on proper use and daily checks.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a forklift technician, heavy‑equipment mechanic or similar role.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic and electrical systems used in forklifts.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team while adhering to safety standards.
• Good communication skills and a commitment to high‑quality workmanship.
