Gate Controller

About the role

The Gate Controller ensures a safe and secure environment at the company’s entry points, enforcing health, safety, security and environmental policies while assisting visitors and staff with special needs.

Key responsibilities

• Enforce company regulations and policies related to health, safety, security and environment at all gate points.
• Provide assistance to individuals with special needs entering or exiting the premises.
• Monitor and operate electronic surveillance equipment to ensure proper functioning and premises security.
• Report any safety or security concerns immediately to the direct supervisor.
• Maintain full compliance with security procedures, completing all required forms and documentation.
• Respond promptly to emergencies, coordinating with the safety team and following HSSE directives.
• Manage and de‑escalate problematic situations involving employees, contractors, or visitors, escalating when necessary.
• Coordinate with plant management on security exceptions and ensure efficient secured premises.
• Implement the 5S program within the security guard house without prior notice.

Required profile

• Strong vigilance and consistent presence at the assigned security post.
• Ability to follow and implement HSSE procedures and security guidelines.
• Excellent communication skills for coordinating with safety and management teams.
• Capability to handle emergency situations calmly and efficiently.
• Attention to detail for accurate reporting and documentation.
