General Manager – Agriculture (Dates & Fruits)

About the role

Qureos Inc is seeking a seasoned General Manager to lead a large‑scale farm specializing in dates and other fruits in Riyadh. This senior, full‑time position oversees all aspects of farm operations, driving commercial success and sustainable growth.

Key responsibilities

• Provide strategic direction and leadership for all farm activities, aligning with long‑term organisational goals.
• Oversee the complete cultivation lifecycle—from planting and irrigation to pest control, harvesting, and post‑harvest management.
• Develop and manage annual budgets, control costs, and ensure profitability and financial sustainability.
• Lead, mentor and manage a diverse team of farm managers, agricultural specialists, and labourers.
• Implement and maintain high quality‑control standards for dates and fruits to meet market and export requirements.
• Ensure compliance with local, national and international agricultural regulations and health‑safety standards.
• Drive adoption of innovative farming technologies, sustainable practices and modern irrigation techniques.
• Manage supply‑chain logistics, inventory and relationships with suppliers and vendors.
• Prepare and present regular operational and financial performance reports to senior management or the board.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Agribusiness, Horticulture or related field; Master’s degree preferred.
• Extensive senior‑management experience (General Manager, Farm Director) in a large‑scale agricultural operation.
• Specialised expertise in date and fruit cultivation.
• Strong financial literacy with proven P&L responsibility and budgeting experience.
• Excellent leadership, communication and team‑building abilities.
• In‑depth knowledge of the agricultural market and regulatory environment in Saudi Arabia or the GCC.
• Strategic mindset with strong problem‑solving capabilities.
• Fluency in English; Arabic proficiency is a significant advantage.
