Host/Hostess – Guest Service Role at IBIS

About the role

The Host/Hostess is the first point of contact for guests at the IBIS restaurant in Jeddah. You will create a warm, personalized arrival experience and support smooth front‑of‑house operations throughout the dining journey.

Key responsibilities

• Welcome guests in a professional manner aligned with IBIS service standards.
• Manage seating, table allocations and dining flow based on reservations and walk‑ins.
• Handle reservations using the restaurant reservation system and keep the host stand organized.
• Answer phone calls, assist with inquiries and coordinate bookings with the service team.
• Collaborate with kitchen and service staff to ensure efficient service flow.
• Address guest feedback, concerns and special requests, escalating when necessary.
• Support side duties such as menu preparation, table resets and maintaining the entrance area.
• Uphold IBIS grooming, appearance and health‑safety standards at all times.

Required profile

• Minimum 1 year experience in a guest‑facing or hospitality role.
• High school diploma or equivalent; hospitality education is a plus.
• Excellent communication in English; Arabic is highly desirable.
• Confident, welcoming personality with a passion for guest service.
• Ability to stay calm, organized and attentive during busy periods.
• Flexible availability for weekends, evenings and holidays.
• Well‑groomed appearance in line with IBIS brand standards.
