HSE Engineer – Construction Supervision (Jeddah)

About the role

We are looking for an experienced HSE Engineer to join our Construction Supervision team in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. The role involves ensuring health, safety and environmental compliance on major transport, road and infrastructure utility projects.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor contractor compliance with project HSE requirements, specifications and approved safety plans.
• Conduct regular site inspections, audits and safety observations across road, utility and infrastructure works.
• Review method statements, risk assessments, permit systems and emergency response procedures.
• Identify unsafe acts and conditions and enforce corrective and preventive actions.
• Support the Resident Engineer in enforcing health, safety and environmental requirements.
• Monitor excavation, utility diversions, traffic management, lifting and confined‑space operations.
• Prepare daily, weekly and monthly safety reports and review contractor HSE performance.
• Participate in incident investigations and verify implementation of corrective measures.
• Coordinate safety awareness initiatives with project stakeholders.
• Ensure environmental compliance for waste management, dust control, noise mitigation and other protection measures.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related discipline.
• Professional HSE qualification (NEBOSH IGC, NEBOSH Construction Certificate, IOSH or equivalent).
• 8‑12 years of overall experience, with at least 5 years in Saudi Arabia.
• Proven experience on transportation, road, highway, infrastructure and utility projects in KSA.
• Background working for engineering or construction supervision consultants.
• Strong knowledge of Saudi HSE regulations and industry best practices.
• Excellent report writing and communication skills in English.
• Preferred registration with the Saudi Council of Engineers.
