IBM DataPower & API Connect Administrator

About the role

We are seeking an experienced IBM DataPower & API Connect Administrator to join our team in Riyadh. The role focuses on managing production and UAT environments, ensuring high availability and performance of enterprise API gateways and related security platforms.

Key responsibilities

• Administer and support IBM DataPower Gateway and IBM API Connect environments.
• Manage Production and UAT environments, guaranteeing reliability and optimal performance.
• Deploy, configure, monitor, and troubleshoot APIs and gateway services.
• Migrate APIs and services from VM‑based environments to OpenShift.
• Configure and manage API lifecycle, security policies, SSL certificates, gateway services, and access controls.
• Collaborate with development, infrastructure, and DevOps teams during deployments and releases.
• Monitor system health, perform performance tuning, and resolve production incidents.
• Maintain operational documentation and follow ITIL best practices.

Required profile

• 5+ years of hands‑on experience with IBM DataPower Gateway and IBM API Connect administration.
• Proven experience managing Production and UAT environments.
• Strong experience with OpenShift and containerised deployments.
• Experience migrating APIs from VM‑based environments to OpenShift.
• Good knowledge of Linux administration and networking concepts.
• Excellent troubleshooting, analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Experience in banking or financial services projects is a plus.
