About the role

The Industrial Skills Training Specialist – Crane Trainer delivers both theoretical and hands‑on training for mobile crane and heavy‑equipment operators. The role focuses on safety, competency assessment, and continuous skills development to ensure trainees meet industry standards.

Key responsibilities

• Design and deliver classroom and practical training programs for mobile crane and heavy‑equipment operation.
• Conduct competency assessments, practical tests, and pre‑use inspections.
• Monitor trainee performance, provide feedback, and coach on improvement areas.
• Maintain accurate records of attendance, performance, and assessment results.
• Ensure all training activities comply with safety procedures and departmental standards.
• Update and improve training materials, exercises, and assessment methods.
• Keep training equipment safe and well‑maintained.
• Stay current on industry practices, crane operation standards, and safety regulations.

Required profile

• Diploma in Crane Operation, Crane Technology, or a related technical/vocational field.
• Minimum 4 years of field experience as a Mobile Crane Operator.
• Demonstrated competency in mobile crane and heavy‑equipment operation.
• Experience in testing, training, and assessing crane operators.
• Strong knowledge of crane operating procedures, lifting practices, equipment inspection, and occupational safety.
• English proficiency equivalent to IELTS 6.0 or TOEFL iBT 60.
• Effective communication, coaching, and interpersonal skills.
