Interior Design Engineer – Site Supervision

About the role

WSP is looking for a highly skilled Interior Design Engineer to join its supervision team in Saudi Arabia. You will oversee interior design and fit‑out works on‑site, ensuring they meet approved drawings, specifications, quality standards and health‑safety regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise interior design and fit‑out works during construction, verifying compliance with designs and contract requirements.
• Conduct regular site inspections, monitor workmanship, materials and construction activities.
• Review shop drawings, material submittals, mock‑ups and samples for compliance.
• Coordinate with architects, MEP and structural engineers, contractors and other stakeholders to resolve design and construction issues.
• Support the Resident Engineer and supervision team with technical guidance and progress monitoring.
• Identify non‑conformances, report them and assist in corrective actions.
• Participate in snagging, testing, commissioning and hand‑over activities.
• Ensure compliance with local authority regulations, safety requirements and project procedures.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design, Interior Architecture, Architecture or a related discipline.
• Minimum 8 years (96 months) of experience in interior design, site supervision and construction.
• Strong understanding of quality assurance procedures and construction methods.
