Internal Control Manager – Riyadh

About the role

The Trade Bank of Iraq is looking for an experienced Internal Control Manager to lead the internal control function at its Saudi Arabia Branch. You will be responsible for designing, implementing and monitoring the branch’s control framework, ensuring compliance with Saudi Central Bank (SAMA) regulations and head‑office standards.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, implement and maintain the branch’s internal control framework, standards and related policies in line with SAMA and head‑office requirements.
• Prepare and execute the annual internal control review and testing plan covering all business and support functions.
• Perform day‑to‑day and periodic control checks over transactions, account opening files, payments, expenses, reconciliations and other operational activities.
• Identify control weaknesses, assess impact and recommend corrective and preventive actions.
• Track remediation of findings from internal reviews, audits and regulatory examinations and report status to senior management.
• Maintain an issues register, escalating high‑risk items as needed.
• Review new policies, products and processes to embed adequate controls and segregation of duties before implementation.
• Support risk and control self‑assessment (RCSA) exercises in coordination with the Risk function.

Required profile

• Strong technical knowledge of banking operations and internal control frameworks.
• Analytical judgment, high integrity and independence.
• Ability to influence and work effectively across all organizational levels.
• Experience in conducting control testing, gap analysis and remediation tracking.
