IT Help Desk Technician

About the role

The IT Help Desk Technician will provide hardware and software support across National Medical Care hospitals and clinics. This role ensures equipment reliability through maintenance, troubleshooting, and documentation, contributing to high‑quality patient care.

Key responsibilities

• Assemble, configure, and repair personal computers, servers, printers, and scanners.
• Install, test, and maintain network cabling and infrastructure under the supervision of the communications team.
• Perform software installation, updates, and configuration on Windows workstations.
• Provide first‑line support for Citrix environments and other enterprise applications.
• Document preventive maintenance activities and generate monthly reports.
• Support end‑users across all NMC business units and respond to service tickets promptly.
• Assist the Help Desk Supervisor with additional tasks as required.

Required profile

• Minimum two‑year diploma in Computer Hardware and Networking Technology.
• Registration with the Saudi Council for Engineering (SCE) is required.
• At least two years of experience in a large hospital or similar environment.
• Ability to work on‑site in Saudi Arabia and follow confidentiality standards.

Required skills

• Troubleshooting of PC hardware and peripherals.
• MS‑WIN 2000 Server, Windows 98/XP administration.
• Microsoft Operating Systems knowledge.
• Network installation and UTP cable maintenance.
• Network cabling setup and testing.
• Software maintenance and configuration.
• Citrix system support.
