IT Helpdesk Specialist

About the role

The IT Helpdesk Specialist provides technical support to approximately 500 end‑users across multiple physical sites. The role focuses on installing, configuring, and maintaining Windows environments, office applications, and hardware devices while ensuring smooth daily operations.

Key responsibilities

• Install and troubleshoot Windows operating systems and related software.
• Install, configure, and support Microsoft Office and Office 365 applications.
• Set up, configure, and maintain hardware devices such as printers, scanners, and copiers.
• Utilize remote support tools to assist end‑users efficiently.
• Provide on‑site IT support across several locations for roughly 500 users.
• Identify performance issues and recommend improvements to enhance system reliability.
• Manage help‑desk tickets by tracking, prioritising, and resolving technical requests.
• Maintain accurate IT asset records, including importing, assigning, and retiring equipment in the inventory system.

Required profile

• Experience installing and troubleshooting Windows OS and related software.
• Experience supporting Microsoft Office and Office 365 applications.
• Experience configuring and maintaining printers, scanners, and copiers.
• Familiarity with remote support tools for end‑user assistance.
• Ability to support a large user base across multiple sites.
• Experience managing help‑desk tickets and prioritising technical issues.
• Experience maintaining an IT asset inventory.
