IT Support Engineer

About the role

The IT Support Engineer will provide technical assistance to employees, ensuring that hardware, software, network access and business applications run smoothly with minimal disruption. This onsite position supports the JBS Customer Service unit in Riyadh, delivering prompt and reliable IT services.

Key responsibilities

• Respond to and resolve IT support tickets (hardware, software, network, printers, peripherals) within agreed SLAs.
• Set up, configure and maintain desktops, laptops, and user accounts for new joiners and offboard leavers.
• Provide on‑site and remote troubleshooting, escalating unresolved incidents to the appropriate team or vendor.
• Maintain and monitor office IT infrastructure, including LAN/Wi‑Fi, printers, video‑conferencing equipment and meeting‑room AV.
• Administer user access across core systems (email, Active Directory/Azure AD, VPN, business applications).
• Support basic server, backup and endpoint‑security checks, flagging anomalies to senior IT staff.
• Maintain an accurate asset register and documentation for hardware, software licenses and configurations.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field.
• 1‑3 years of experience in an IT support, helpdesk or desktop support role.

Required skills

• Windows and macOS desktop administration, imaging and troubleshooting.
• Active Directory / Azure AD and Microsoft 365 administration (Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive).
• Mobile device management for device enrollment and policy enforcement.
• Basic networking: TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, Wi‑Fi troubleshooting.
• Hardware diagnostics and repair for desktops, laptops, printers and peripherals.
• Familiarity with ticketing/helpdesk systems and asset management tools.
• Understanding of endpoint security, antivirus tools and data backup practices.
