IT Technician – Urban Mobility Projects

About the role

Indra is seeking an experienced IT Technician to support a key urban mobility project in Riyadh. The role is part of the Mobility business unit and focuses on maintaining the IT infrastructure that enables daily operations of transport systems.

Key responsibilities

• Install, configure and maintain hardware, operating systems and applications.
• Monitor and support IT systems, networks and virtualised environments.
• Diagnose and resolve incidents related to software, hardware and connectivity.
• Assist with deployment of new applications, updates and system enhancements.
• Prepare technical documentation, procedures and reports.
• Provide on‑site and remote user assistance.
• Manage user accounts, credentials and access configurations.
• Conduct functional testing of software and perform safety checks and preventive maintenance on equipment.

Required profile

• Degree in Computer Engineering or a related technical field.
• Minimum 7 years of experience in IT support or technical operations.
• Strong knowledge of networking fundamentals (IP addressing, routing, switching).
• Proven ability to work in a fast‑paced, mission‑critical environment.

Required skills

• Windows 10 and Windows Server 2016 administration.
• Linux OS administration.
• VMware and Oracle Virtual Manager (OVM) maintenance and troubleshooting.
• PC imaging and cloning.
• SQL query writing and basic database usage.
• SFTP/SSH and software transfer tools.
• Hardware diagnosis and maintenance.
• WebLogic operational support.
• HAProxy maintenance and problem resolution.
• Basic knowledge of Oracle Database and PostgreSQL.
• Kubernetes (MicroK8s) maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Basic networking (IP/VLAN/firewalling) troubleshooting.
