Jr. Data Scientist

About the role

We are looking for a Junior Data Scientist to join our remote team. The role focuses on extracting insights from large, complex datasets and supporting the development of predictive and AI/ML models that drive operational advantage.

Key responsibilities

• Perform statistical analysis and exploratory data analysis on complex datasets.
• Support the development, validation, and deployment of predictive and AI/ML models.
• Assist in building and maintaining data pipelines for collection, processing, and integration.
• Collaborate with data scientists, engineers, and cross‑functional teams to improve data workflows.
• Develop scripts and tools to automate repetitive tasks and enhance efficiency.
• Identify data gaps, inconsistencies, and opportunities for optimization.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics or a related quantitative field.
• 0‑2 years of experience in data science, analytics, machine learning or related technical fields.
• Strong quantitative and analytical mindset with the ability to communicate findings to non‑technical audiences.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Python, R and SQL.
• Experience with data visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau.
• Understanding of statistical techniques and modeling approaches.
• Foundational knowledge of AI/ML concepts.
• Experience with relational and NoSQL databases.
• Familiarity with cloud‑based big data technologies.
