L3 Microsoft Exchange & Active Directory Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a highly skilled L3/Subject Matter Expert to manage and support enterprise messaging and directory services in a 24x7 banking environment. The role focuses on advanced troubleshooting, incident management, and ensuring high availability, security, and compliance of Microsoft Exchange and Active Directory infrastructures.

Key responsibilities

• Provide L3 support for Exchange and AD incidents, including P1/P2 escalations.
• Monitor system health, hardware, server resources, and key processes to guarantee availability.
• Troubleshoot performance bottlenecks, system failures, and security vulnerabilities.
• Administer Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, and related server roles.
• Implement backup, recovery, and disaster‑recovery strategies; validate backups and DR readiness.
• Apply patches, updates, and security hardening for Exchange and AD.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation, SOPs, and run‑books.
• Participate in incident, problem, and change management processes and contribute to root‑cause analysis and audit reporting.

Required profile

• 8–12+ years of experience with Microsoft Exchange Server and Active Directory.
• Proven experience in managed‑services or SLA‑driven environments.
• Willingness to work a 24x7 on‑call rotation.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

Required skills

• Microsoft Exchange (installation, patching, performance tuning, mail flow security).
• Active Directory (AD DS, DNS, DHCP, GPO, replication, domain controller administration).
• ManageEngine tools: ADManager, ADAudit, Exchange Reporter.
• PowerShell scripting.
• Monitoring tools such as SolarWinds or equivalent.
• ITIL processes (Incident, Problem, Change).
• Knowledge of security, compliance, and audit requirements in the banking sector.
