Landscape Architect – Major Development Project

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Landscape Architect to lead the design and construction supervision of outdoor spaces for a large development in Riyadh. You will work closely with the Resident Engineer, consultants, contractors and multidisciplinary teams to deliver high‑quality, sustainable landscapes that meet design intent and project schedules.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and monitor all landscape construction activities, ensuring compliance with approved drawings, specifications and contract requirements.
• Review architectural designs, shop drawings, material submittals and technical documentation for accuracy and feasibility.
• Inspect hardscape works such as paving, plazas, retaining walls, site furniture, water features and recreational facilities.
• Oversee softscape works including planting, irrigation, turf installation, trees, shrubs and ground‑cover beds.
• Coordinate with architectural, civil, structural, MEP and infrastructure teams to resolve interface issues.
• Verify that all materials, plants and irrigation equipment meet approved specifications.
• Monitor contractor performance against the landscape construction schedule and prepare regular inspection reports.
• Ensure implementation of sustainable landscaping practices, water‑conservation measures and environmental requirements.
• Support quality assurance, defect identification, corrective actions and final handover documentation.

Required profile

• Proven experience in landscape architecture and construction supervision on large‑scale projects.
• Strong knowledge of hardscape and softscape systems, irrigation design and sustainable landscaping principles.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, specifications and contract documents.
• Excellent coordination skills to work with multidisciplinary engineering teams.
• Familiarity with health, safety and environmental (HSE) standards in construction.
