Lead Coach – Trap Shooting

About the role

The Lead Coach – Trap Shooting is responsible for planning, implementing and evaluating all sport‑related activities within the Trap discipline for national team athletes. The role designs annual training plans, coordinates weekly sessions and training camps, and aligns preparation with international competition calendars.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute annual and multi‑year performance plans for the Trap discipline.
• Maintain a consistent coaching philosophy, training methodology and technical standards.
• Lead day‑to‑day technical coaching, overseeing specialist coaches and support staff.
• Prepare athletes for major events such as World Cups, World Championships, Asian Games and Olympic qualifiers.
• Organise national team training camps and weekly training schedules for elite and development athletes.
• Provide technical reports after competitions and camps.
• Monitor international trends, ISSF rule changes and best practices.
• Support athlete progression from beginner to high‑performance pathways, including specific development for female athletes.

Required profile

• Proven experience coaching Trap or shotgun disciplines at elite or national level.
• Strong knowledge of ISSF regulations and international competition standards.
• Ability to design macro‑ and mesocycle training plans.
• Experience coordinating coaching staff and performance‑support personnel.
• Excellent analytical skills for performance review and competition analysis.
