Lead Cost Engineer

About the role

Bechtel is seeking a Lead Cost Engineer to drive cost engineering activities for the Ar Rjum gold mining project in Saudi Arabia. You will guide staffing plans, review cost‑related proposal provisions, and develop data for contract negotiations while ensuring cost control aligns with Bechtel and client requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Lead cost estimating, analysis, and control for projects with significant non‑routine requirements.
• Develop and implement project cost‑control procedures in line with contractual obligations.
• Prepare cost studies using historical data, statistical analysis, and quantity comparisons.
• Monitor cost trends, recommend alternatives for cost effectiveness, and maintain communication with other organizations.
• Ensure timely completion of cost‑engineering tasks and support project administrative activities.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree (or international equivalent) in a relevant field.
• 10‑13 years of experience directing project cost engineering, including cost control, analysis, reporting, and incurred cost assessment.
• Proven ability to present project‑controls information to management and clients.
