Lead Material Planning

About the role

Riyadh Air is seeking a Lead Material Planning professional to ensure the timely and cost‑effective availability of aircraft materials that support maintenance and operational activities. The role focuses on maintaining optimal inventory levels, reducing excess and obsolete stock, and guaranteeing parts availability for both scheduled and unscheduled maintenance.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and control aircraft material requirements in alignment with maintenance schedules, fleet activity and operational demand.
• Monitor inventory accuracy through regular audits, performance metrics and continuous‑improvement initiatives.
• Collaborate with Maintenance, Engineering, Logistics and Procurement teams to translate maintenance needs into material forecasts.
• Manage lead times, coordinate with suppliers and support procurement activities to secure parts availability.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory, contractual and quality standards applicable to aircraft materials.
• Identify opportunities to improve delivery performance, reduce aircraft downtime and enhance supply‑chain reliability.

Required profile

• Degree qualified in aviation or a related field.
• Minimum 7 years of experience in aviation, materials management, logistics or supply‑chain, with at least 5 years in material planning or inventory management within an airline environment.
• Hands‑on experience managing aircraft materials for maintenance operations.
• Strong analytical abilities, attention to detail and experience working with inventory or supply‑chain systems.
• Proven ability to work cross‑functionally with technical teams and external suppliers in a regulated aviation setting.
