Local Content Coordinator

About the role

The Local Content Coordinator supports the Local Content Manager in driving and monitoring local content initiatives across the organization. This role ensures that supplier activities align with national and regional local content policies while providing accurate reporting and training support.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in developing and implementing local content strategies and initiatives.
• Coordinate activities with local suppliers to guarantee compliance with local content requirements.
• Track, maintain and report on local content metrics, including Local Content Scores and targets.
• Conduct market research to identify local supplier capabilities and emerging trends.
• Support cross‑departmental integration of local content considerations into procurement processes.
• Organise training sessions and informational workshops for staff on best practices.
• Engage with community stakeholders to promote local content projects.
• Help create documentation and communication materials related to local content.

Required profile

• Familiarity with regional and national local content policies, especially those issued by the Local Content and Government Procurement Authority (LCGPA).
• Experience preparing compliance reports, performance dashboards and audit documentation.
• Ability to collect data from procurement, finance and other departments and analyse it for compliance gaps.
• Knowledge of supplier assessment processes and contractual obligations related to local content.
• Strong communication skills for interacting with internal teams, external suppliers and community groups.
