Maintenance Assistant Manager

About the role

The Maintenance Assistant Manager supports the Maintenance Manager in overseeing daily maintenance operations across Al‑Qadsiah Club facilities. This role ensures that mechanical, electrical, plumbing, civil and general maintenance activities are performed efficiently, safely and in line with club standards.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Maintenance Manager in planning, organizing and supervising daily maintenance activities across club facilities.
• Coordinate and monitor preventive and corrective maintenance programmes to optimise asset performance.
• Supervise maintenance technicians and support staff, ensuring work meets required standards.
• Prepare maintenance schedules, work plans and allocate resources.
• Manage contractors and service providers for specialised works, ensuring contract and safety compliance.
• Track work orders through the CMMS and ensure timely closure.
• Maintain spare‑parts, tools and materials inventory, controlling costs.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety and environmental regulations and promote safe practices.
• Support inspections, audits and reporting on facility conditions.
• Assist in budget monitoring and report variances to the Maintenance Manager.
• Act as delegate for the Maintenance Manager when required to ensure continuity of operations.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, Civil Engineering or a related technical field.
• 5–7 years of experience in maintenance or facilities management, including at least 2 years in a supervisory or assistant‑manager role.
• Experience working in large‑scale facilities such as sports clubs, stadiums, hotels, malls or mixed‑use developments.
• Good communication skills in English; Arabic is an advantage.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of MEP, HVAC, civil works and general facilities maintenance systems.
• Proficiency with Computerised Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
• Competent use of MS Office applications.
