Manager, Transportation Finance

About the role

Lucid is seeking a seasoned finance professional to lead transportation‑related cost planning, variance analysis, budgeting and inventory valuation. The manager will partner with logistics, procurement and product development teams to drive cost efficiency and operational excellence across inbound and outbound freight activities.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain inventory, freight and duty cost data for inbound and outbound shipments.
• Coordinate with logistics and procurement to ensure door‑to‑door freight costs are accurate and optimized.
• Analyze cost deviations, support corrective actions and track cost variances.
• Assist in long‑term planning, annual budgeting and rolling forecasts, collecting inputs from supply‑chain functions.
• Monitor budget adherence, flag overruns and report key performance indicators.
• Support new product cost estimates, business case preparation and cost target validation.
• Produce regular freight and tariff reports, dashboards and cost trend analyses.
• Maintain cost data integrity in SAP CO, set up networks/routings for new products and perform periodic master‑data audits.

Required profile

• 10–15 years of experience in product costing or plant finance, preferably in automotive or EV manufacturing.
• Strong background in inventory, inbound and outbound freight cost management.
• Advanced degree or professional qualification (CA, CMA, MBA in Finance or equivalent).

Required skills

• Proficiency with SAP CO (costing) module.
• Advanced Excel for data analysis and reporting.
