Microbiologist – Quality Control

About the role

The Microbiologist will ensure the safety and quality of product materials, purified water, and the manufacturing environment through rigorous microbiological testing. This position supports Nestle's commitment to high standards in food safety and regulatory compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Perform and document in‑house microbiological testing on raw materials, semi‑finished, and finished products following SOPs and approved protocols.
• Prepare standards, solutions, reagents, media, and samples required for analysis.
• Record observations accurately, review data, and release inspection lots in the material management system.
• Operate and maintain laboratory instruments, conduct routine maintenance, and troubleshoot minor issues.
• Lead continuous‑improvement initiatives using lean principles to increase laboratory efficiency.
• Prepare and manage paperwork, including receiving reports and deviation notifications.
• Report abnormalities, initiate corrective actions, and adhere to Nestle SHE rules at all times.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Microbiology or a related field.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in a similar microbiology quality‑control role.
• Strong mathematical ability and proficiency in English.
• Ability to work accurately under pressure and maintain organized records.
