Nursing Director – Hospital Leadership

About the role

The Nursing Director provides strategic and operational leadership for nursing services across the hospital. This senior role ensures safe, high‑quality, patient‑centered care while driving workforce performance, clinical standards, and regulatory compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and oversee nursing services across all clinical departments and units.
• Ensure appropriate staffing, workforce utilization, competency, and performance to meet patient care and operational needs.
• Monitor nursing quality indicators, patient outcomes, and safety standards, implementing improvement initiatives as required.
• Guide nursing managers and supervisors, promoting professional development, staff engagement, and a culture of clinical excellence.
• Maintain compliance with hospital policies, accreditation standards, clinical guidelines, and regulatory requirements.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Nursing; Master's degree in Nursing, Healthcare Management, or related field preferred.
• Valid SCFHS professional classification and registration.
• Minimum 8 years of nursing experience with strong background in nursing operations, workforce management, clinical governance, quality, and patient safety.
• Proven experience in healthcare or hospital leadership.
