Observability Engineer – AppDynamics Specialist

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Observability Engineer to ensure the availability, performance and stability of our enterprise applications using AppDynamics. The role will work closely with development, infrastructure and operations teams to monitor, analyse and optimise application behaviour.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain the AppDynamics environment, perform daily health checks of agents, servers and platform components.
• Monitor business transactions, response times and system performance to detect degradation.
• Analyse application, JVM/.NET and infrastructure metrics to identify bottlenecks and optimisation opportunities.
• Investigate errors, slow transactions and incidents, conduct root‑cause analysis and drive remediation.
• Configure dashboards, health rules, alert policies and generate performance reports.
• Collaborate with application, database, infrastructure and operations teams to troubleshoot and improve performance.
• Validate application health after deployments, maintenance or configuration changes.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering or related field.
• At least 3 years of experience in Application Performance Monitoring, observability or production support.
• Relevant AppDynamics or APM certifications.

• AppDynamics (configuration, dashboards, health rules, alerts).
• Java and .NET application monitoring.
• JVM and .NET performance metrics.
• Database and server (CPU, memory, disk) monitoring.
• Performance analysis, root‑cause analysis and incident investigation.
