Operating System Support – Windows OS & Linux OS

About the role

The organization is seeking an experienced Operating System Support Engineer to manage both Windows and Linux server environments in Saudi Arabia. The role involves ensuring high availability, security compliance, and optimal performance of physical and virtual enterprise servers supporting critical applications such as SAP.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and support Windows Server (2010/2012/2016) and RHEL (7.x, 8.x, 9.x) platforms, both physical and virtual.
• Perform OS patching, upgrades, security hardening, and regular resource monitoring.
• Manage and troubleshoot Windows clusters, RHEL clusters, Pacemaker, and Windows Failover Clustering.
• Administer monitoring agents including SCOM, SCCM, and AppDynamics.
• Automate routine tasks using Microsoft Orchestrator.
• Create and maintain technical design documents, SOPs, and operational manuals.
• Coordinate with ERP, database, application, and web hosting teams for scheduled maintenance.
• Raise and follow up vendor tickets with Microsoft and Red Hat, providing logs and root‑cause analysis.

Required profile

• 3–5 years of hands‑on experience in Windows and Linux server administration and clustering.
• Strong background in supporting SAP, SAP HANA, and SAP S/4HANA workloads on both platforms.
• Proven ability to work on‑site in a full‑time capacity and collaborate with cross‑functional teams.
