OT/ICS Cybersecurity Engineer

About the role

The OT/ICS Cybersecurity Engineer is responsible for securing Operational Technology and Industrial Control System environments, including SCADA, DCS, PLC, and IIoT infrastructures. The role designs and implements cybersecurity architecture aligned with IEC 62443, NIST, and ISO 27001 while ensuring system availability and safety.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement OT/ICS cybersecurity architectures such as network segmentation, DMZs, and secure remote access.
• Perform risk assessments, vulnerability analyses, and security audits across SCADA, DCS, PLC, and IIoT networks.
• Monitor OT environments for threats, anomalies, and incidents in real time.
• Develop and enforce cybersecurity policies, standards, and procedures for OT/ICS systems.
• Configure and maintain industrial firewalls, unidirectional gateways, IDS/IPS, and endpoint security solutions.
• Manage patch programs, access controls, and secure configuration baselines for OT assets.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Engineering, Network Engineering, or Electrical/Automation Engineering with an industrial focus.
• Minimum 4 years of cybersecurity experience, including at least 2 years in OT/ICS or critical infrastructure.
• Knowledge of IEC 62443, NIST SP 800-82, and ISA/IEC industrial cybersecurity frameworks.
• Relevant certifications such as GICSP, CSSA, or CISSP (OT track) are strongly preferred.

Required skills

• Deep knowledge of IEC 62443 OT cybersecurity standards.
• Industrial network security tools: firewalls, unidirectional gateways, IDS/IPS, and network segmentation.
• OT asset inventory and vulnerability management capabilities.
• SIEM configuration and alert management for OT environments.
• Understanding of industrial protocols (Modbus, Profibus, DNP3, OPC) from a security perspective.
• Incident response and forensics in OT environments.
