Patient Support Nutritionist – Riyadh

About the role

The Patient Support Nutritionist provides comprehensive community‑based nutrition care to patients with chronic diseases, helping them achieve optimal health and quality of life. Working under physician orders, the role combines telephonic consultations, menu planning, and direct patient education within Axios International’s Patient Support Programs.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct telephonic follow‑up consultations and provide nutrition counseling.
• Ensure client menu selections comply with prescribed diet orders, nutritional adequacy, cultural and religious considerations.
• Write, modify, and update menus using established guidelines and resources.
• Record and monitor client data, including diet changes, allergies, preferences, and floor‑stock requests.
• Resolve client requests and complaints, escalating when necessary.
• Direct Food and Nutrition Services staff and serve as a dietary resource for nursing and other teams.
• Perform home visits, assess patient equipment, and report adverse events according to local regulations.
• Prepare monthly monitoring reports and quarterly quality‑assurance reports in collaboration with Axios UAE staff.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Nutrition or Dietetics with at least 2 years of healthcare experience.
• Licensed nutritionist/dietitian in Saudi Arabia.
• Excellent command of English and strong clinical patient‑care knowledge.
• Ability to provide written recommendation letter upon request.
