Peer Reviewer (PhD) – Anesthesiology

About the role

We are seeking an experienced PhD‑level peer reviewer in anesthesiology to evaluate manuscripts for a reputable journal. This is a long‑term, stable part‑time remote position.

Key responsibilities

• Assess novelty of the manuscript and determine its contribution to the field.
• Evaluate study design and methodology for appropriateness and reproducibility.
• Verify that the literature review is comprehensive and up‑to‑date.
• Analyse results and conclusions to ensure they are clearly presented and supported by data.
• Provide constructive feedback, highlighting any flaws, omissions, or ethical concerns.
• Recommend acceptance, revision, or rejection to the journal editor.

Required profile

• Doctorate (PhD) or equivalent advanced degree in anesthesiology or a related discipline.
• At least five peer‑reviewed papers published in SCI/SSCI journals within the past three years.
• Thorough understanding of research methodologies and ethical principles.
• Excellent analytical, critical thinking and written communication skills.
• Ability to meet deadlines and manage time effectively while maintaining confidentiality.
• Prior experience as a peer reviewer for academic journals is highly desirable.
