Planning Engineer – Data Centre Projects (KSA)

About the role

James L Williams Middle East is looking for an experienced Planning Engineer to support major Data Centre construction projects in Saudi Arabia. The role involves developing and updating project programmes, monitoring site progress, and preparing planning reports to keep projects aligned with approved schedules.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and update MEP work programmes in line with the Main Contractor's schedule.
• Perform resource loading and cost loading of project programmes.
• Create and maintain site progress tracking and reporting formats based on programmes, drawings, and BOQs.
• Monitor daily site progress and report status to the Project Manager and Planning Manager.
• Prepare micro‑programmes, weekly progress reports and fortnightly/monthly progress comparisons.
• Record and track project delays, including those caused by other contractors.
• Support the preparation and submission of Baseline Programmes and Extension of Time (EOT) claims.
• Assist in preparing delay notices in accordance with subcontract conditions.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
• Minimum 6 years of planning experience on construction, data centre or MEP projects.
• Strong working knowledge of Primavera and project scheduling.
• Proven ability in progress monitoring, resource/cost loading and planning reporting.
• Good analytical, communication and presentation skills.
