Planning Engineer

About the role

The Planning Engineer will be responsible for creating, updating and monitoring project plans and schedules for construction projects in Riyadh. You will work closely with project teams, contractors and consultants to ensure timely delivery and effective resource management.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and continuously update project plans and schedules.
• Develop and monitor the project timeline, identifying tasks, durations and key milestones.
• Track work progress, compare actual performance against the plan and analyse causes of delays.
• Propose corrective actions and contribute to recovery planning when delays occur.
• Coordinate with project teams, contractors and consultants to obtain work updates.
• Monitor required resources and link them to the schedule.
• Prepare periodic progress reports and performance indicators.
• Assess scope changes and their impact on the schedule.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture or a related engineering discipline.
• Practical experience in project planning and schedule monitoring.
• Good knowledge of project progress tracking, risk, delay and change management.
• Ability to prepare progress reports and analyse data.
• Proficiency in English.
