Platform & Application Tester – IIoT & Cloud

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Platform & Application Tester to lead validation of Industrial IoT (IIoT) platforms, web and mobile applications, and cloud services within our Digital Squads project. The role requires deep knowledge of device data flows, cloud architecture, and system integrations to ensure all components are production‑ready.

Key responsibilities

• Test and validate IIoT platform capabilities such as device management, data ingestion, alarms, rules engines, dashboards, and multi‑tenancy using real IoT data.
• Perform end‑to‑end testing across device, edge, cloud, and application layers, covering microservices, APIs, event pipelines, storage services, and integrations with OSS/BSS, AI/ML, and third‑party systems.
• Verify authentication, role‑based access control, tenant isolation, and secure data pipelines from ingestion to visualization and alerting.
• Execute regression, integration, and basic performance testing for platform and application releases, using logs, events, Grafana and cloud monitoring tools.
• Collaborate with development, architecture, and operations teams to define test strategies, report defects, and embed quality throughout the software delivery lifecycle.

Required profile

• 10+ years of experience as an IoT Platform Tester or Software Test Engineer.
• Strong hands‑on knowledge of IIoT concepts, devices, telemetry, communication protocols and data lifecycle management.
• Proven ability to work in complex, multi‑technology environments and communicate testing outcomes to cross‑functional stakeholders.

Required skills

• IIoT platforms: Cumulocity, Litmus, ThingWorx or similar.
• Cloud platforms: Azure, AWS, GCP.
• API testing tools: Postman.
• Test automation frameworks: Selenium or equivalent.
• Security frameworks: OAuth2, SAML, RBAC.
• CI/CD pipelines, Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
• Monitoring and logging tools: Grafana, Cloud Logging.
• Knowledge of edge computing, secure device provisioning, multi‑cloud or hybrid IoT architectures.
