Principal Software Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a highly accomplished Principal Software Engineer to act as the chief technical authority within our Product Engineering & Technology division. This hands‑on leadership role will shape the architecture of flagship cybersecurity products and drive the adoption of sovereign and post‑quantum cryptography across the ecosystem.

Key responsibilities

• Define and lead the design, development, and deployment of resilient backend services using Python and FastAPI.
• Establish engineering standards, coding practices, and architectural principles for the whole software organization.
• Design scalable micro‑service architectures that operate in both connected and air‑gapped sovereign environments.
• Integrate advanced cryptographic controls, including secure key management and PQC readiness, into all applications.
• Lead the creation of modern, responsive frontend platforms with Vue.js, JavaScript and TypeScript.
• Ensure seamless integration with specialized cybersecurity hardware in operational‑technology settings.
• Act as the top escalation point for complex technical issues and mentor senior engineers.

Required profile

• Proven experience (10+ years) in software architecture and engineering leadership.
• Deep understanding of cybersecurity standards such as NCA Essential Cybersecurity Controls.
• Track record of delivering high‑assurance software for both enterprise and sovereign, air‑gapped environments.
• Strong communication skills and ability to influence technical direction across multiple teams.
