Process Safety Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a Process Safety Engineer to join our team in Jubail, Saudi Arabia. The role focuses on developing and implementing safety processes and procedures to ensure a safe, incident‑free environment and to foster a strong safety culture across the organization.

Key responsibilities

• Review processes for hazards and propose interventions to ensure safe operational activities.
• Incorporate safety precautions, mechanisms and standards into operating procedures for engineering, maintenance and operational activities.
• Stay updated on international and industry safety best practices and make relevant recommendations.
• Conduct detailed risk analyses for operational, maintenance and new project activities, preparing assessments and control measures.
• Study engineering projects from design and construction perspectives, integrating safety standards to protect workers during construction and operation.
• Provide safety guidelines for alterations or modifications of existing systems and identify new hazards arising from such changes.
• Inspect sites regularly, survey accident‑prone areas, and ensure compliance with safe working procedures.
• Investigate minor incidents independently and major incidents as part of a team, performing root‑cause analysis and drafting reports.
• Assist in developing awareness and training programs on process safety issues.

Required profile

• Relevant engineering degree or equivalent qualification.
• Demonstrated experience in process safety, risk assessment, and hazard analysis.
• Strong knowledge of safety standards and best practices in industrial environments.
• Ability to work independently, conduct investigations and produce clear documentation.
