Procurement Officer

About the role

The Procurement Officer will lead the sourcing and purchasing activities for construction projects, ensuring that all materials, equipment, and services are obtained on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards. This role works closely with project, engineering, commercial, finance, and site teams to align procurement with project schedules.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and issue Request for Quotations (RFQs) for construction materials, equipment, and services.
• Obtain, compare, and evaluate quotations, negotiate prices, and issue purchase orders.
• Follow up with suppliers to guarantee timely delivery according to project requirements.
• Source and qualify local suppliers of construction materials.
• Coordinate procurement needs with Project, Engineering, Commercial, Finance, and Site teams.
• Maintain accurate procurement records in SAP, covering purchase order processes.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of procurement experience in the construction industry.
• Strong background in building construction projects; experience with a reputable main contractor is preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Procurement, Supply Chain, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
• Mandatory SAP experience, specifically in procurement and purchase order modules.
