Procurement Specialist

About the role

The Procurement Specialist supports the plant’s manufacturing, field operations, technology and project management teams by sourcing goods and services efficiently and cost‑effectively. Working under direct supervision, the role ensures compliance with Category Management strategies and contributes to overall operational profitability.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and execute sourcing activities for goods and services required at the plant level.
• Issue purchase orders based on material requirements from manufacturing, field operations or projects.
• Create Request for Quotations (RFQ) and manage competitive bidding processes.
• Negotiate and implement local procurement agreements not covered by Category Management.
• Assess and monitor supplier performance to ensure quality, delivery and price targets are met.

Required profile

• Undergraduate degree in a technical, business or related discipline.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in procurement or a production environment.
• Advanced procurement certification (e.g., CPM) preferred.

Required skills

• Purchase to Pay knowledge.
• RFQ creation and management.
• Supplier performance assessment.
