Procurement Specialist

About the role

Sulzer is seeking a Procurement Specialist to source, negotiate and purchase instrumentation, electrical and general components for pump manufacturing. The role ensures material availability, cost competitiveness and compliance with technical and quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and qualify suppliers for instrumentation, electrical, general components and Class C materials.
• Negotiate contracts, pricing and terms to achieve best value.
• Review technical specifications to guarantee alignment with project and department needs.
• Manage procurement budgets, monitor costs and drive cost‑saving initiatives.
• Coordinate with internal departments, suppliers and project teams to secure timely deliveries.
• Ensure all purchased items meet Sulzer quality standards and regulatory requirements.
• Identify supply‑chain risks, maintain documentation and implement mitigation strategies.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Procurement or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of procurement experience for high‑volume materials in large‑scale oil & gas projects.
• Professional certification such as CIPS or CPSM is preferred.
• Strong understanding of procurement best practices, sourcing strategies and industry trends.
• Fluent in Arabic and English.
