Procurement Specialist (Local)

About the role

We are seeking a competent Local Procurement Specialist to join our Supply Chain and Procurement team in the perfumes and retail sector. The role involves managing end‑to‑end local purchasing activities, ensuring optimal value, quality, and timely delivery of raw materials, packaging, and finished goods.

Key responsibilities

• Execute the full local procurement lifecycle: receive purchase requests, issue RFQs and POs, receive goods, and reconcile invoices.
• Source, evaluate, and onboard new local suppliers while maintaining strong relationships with existing vendors.
• Manage sector‑specific procurement for perfumes (aromatic raw materials, bottles, caps, packaging) and retail (branch inventory, merchandise) to prevent stockouts.
• Conduct market research and propose cost‑saving initiatives without compromising quality.
• Coordinate with warehouses and inventory control to monitor quantities, avoid overstocking or depletion.
• Resolve supplier disputes, delays, or specification mismatches promptly.
• Document transactions and generate regular reports on vendor performance, spending trends, and order status.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering or a related field.
• 2‑3 years of procurement experience, preferably in perfumes, cosmetics or retail.
• Deep knowledge of the local supply market and vendor landscape.
• Fluency in written and spoken Arabic and English.
• Strong communication, problem‑solving, and attention‑to‑detail skills.

Required skills

• Negotiation and supplier relationship management.
• Proficiency with ERP systems such as SAP or Oracle.
• Advanced Excel and overall Microsoft Office Suite expertise.
