Production and Material Planning Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a qualified and motivated Production and Material Planning Engineer to oversee material requirements, inventory levels and supplier deliveries, ensuring timely availability of components for our manufacturing operations.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and schedule the supply of materials and components to meet production targets while maintaining appropriate safety stock.
• Monitor supplier deliveries, follow up on outstanding orders and take corrective action on material shortages.
• Manage material requirements using MRP and related ERP systems, ensuring accurate Bill of Materials (BOM) data.
• Track inventory levels against targets, conduct regular inventory checks and work to minimise obsolete or excess stock.
• Prepare regular reports and analyses on material usage, inventory performance and cost.
• Identify and support continuous‑improvement initiatives, including Lean Manufacturing opportunities.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
• 3–5 years of experience in production and materials planning, preferably in the aluminum or broader manufacturing sector.
• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to manage complex material flows.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Hands‑on experience with ERP systems and MRP (Material Requirements Planning) tools.
• Knowledge of Bill of Materials (BOM) management.
• Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing techniques.
