Project Engineer I – Mining Systems

About the role

Hexagon Autonomous Solutions is looking for a Project Engineer I to lead the planning, coordination and execution of mining system projects. The role covers the full project lifecycle from design through implementation, testing and hand‑over, ensuring delivery on time, within budget and to quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain detailed project plans, allocate resources and monitor progress.
• Coordinate with Project Managers to deploy complex mining solutions on schedule and budget.
• Support and maintain software, deliver bespoke customisations and troubleshoot system issues.
• Implement customer system configurations and customisations using scripting tools.
• Participate in onsite installations and provide technical escalation support.
• Report project status, risks and resolutions to stakeholders.
• Collaborate with sales in pre‑sales technical presentations and advise on potential customer issues.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety and regulatory standards and maintain documentation.

Required profile

• Strong problem‑solving, communication and organisational abilities.
• Broad high‑level knowledge of mining systems and their deployment.
• Ability to act as escalation point for technical issues and work through resolution processes.
• Willingness to work collaboratively with cross‑functional teams and customers.
