Project Manager – Design

About the role

The role involves leading design and delivery of multiple architectural projects for NAGA Architects in Al‑Madinah Al‑Munawwarah, overseeing multidisciplinary teams and ensuring design excellence from concept to construction documentation.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage design delivery of multiple projects and packages, ensuring compliance with client expectations, quality standards and programme requirements.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary design teams to produce integrated, technically sound solutions and approve design submissions.
• Identify design risks and implement mitigation strategies.
• Take full ownership of assigned projects, monitoring progress, resolving technical and coordination issues, and delivering within agreed timelines and budgets.
• Lead internal and external design coordination meetings and maintain communication with clients, consultants, contractors and stakeholders.
• Support project planning, resource allocation, change management and variation assessments, aligning design deliverables with contractual obligations.
• Act as main client contact, mentor and develop design teams, allocate resources across projects and promote collaboration and technical excellence.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture (mandatory).
• 12–15 years of experience in an architectural or multidisciplinary design consultancy.
• Proven experience managing multiple projects or design packages simultaneously.
• Strong architectural design background with hands‑on design experience considered an advantage.
• Solid understanding of commercial and contractual aspects of consultancy projects.
• Demonstrated leadership of multidisciplinary teams and stakeholder coordination.
• Fluent in Arabic and English, spoken and written.
• Previous experience on projects in Saudi Arabia or the GCC is highly preferred.
