Propulsion Technician – Tornado Fast Jet

About the role

This contract position supports maintenance operations on the Tornado fast‑jet platform at a high‑profile overseas military aviation base in Dhahran, Saudi Arabia. You will work within a structured, safety‑critical environment to keep aircraft propulsion systems airworthy.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out maintenance, servicing and repair of Tornado propulsion systems.
• Perform engine removal, installation and functional testing.
• Diagnose faults and execute corrective actions using approved technical documentation.
• Inspect engines, components and associated systems.
• Support ground runs and post‑maintenance checks.
• Complete maintenance documentation and certification records.
• Maintain health, safety and aviation safety standards.

Required profile

• Completion of a recognised aircraft engineering apprenticeship (mechanical or aeronautical preferred) or equivalent military/civilian aviation qualifications.
• Experience working on fast‑jet propulsion systems, preferably Tornado.
• Strong understanding of aircraft engine systems, fault finding and corrective maintenance.
• Ability to interpret technical manuals and engineering documentation.
• Knowledge of military aviation maintenance standards and airworthiness requirements.
