Purchasing Manager – IT & Professional Services

About the role

SADAFCO is seeking a Purchasing Manager to lead the end‑to‑end procurement of IT and professional services. The role will shape long‑term sourcing strategies, drive execution of contracts, and ensure supplier governance across a wide range of technology solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Own the full procurement cycle for software, SaaS, cloud platforms, infrastructure, cybersecurity, telecom, hardware, and related professional services.
• Develop and maintain 3‑year category roadmaps aligned with IT, digital transformation, finance, legal and business priorities.
• Conduct market and supplier profiling, qualification, due‑diligence, and onboarding for technology OEMs, system integrators, cloud providers and service firms.
• Gather global market intelligence on technology trends, licensing models, and supplier innovation, turning insights into actionable sourcing recommendations.
• Identify opportunities for renewal, consolidation, license optimisation and total cost of ownership reduction while managing risk.
• Design, implement and continuously improve procurement policies, governance frameworks, approval workflows and contract compliance processes.
• Prepare and issue RFI, RFQ, RFP and tender documentation for IT projects and services.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing procurement for IT and professional services in a large, complex organization.
• Strong understanding of software licensing, cloud commercial models, cybersecurity solutions and telecom services.
• Ability to translate market intelligence into strategic sourcing decisions.
• Excellent stakeholder management skills across IT, finance, legal and business units.
