Purchasing Manager

About the role

The Purchasing Manager will lead the procurement function for a leading Destination Management Company operating across Red Sea Global destinations. This role ensures the timely acquisition of goods and services while maintaining cost efficiency, supplier performance, and compliance with company policies.

Key responsibilities

• Manage end‑to‑end purchasing activities, from request to delivery, including quotation evaluation and purchase order issuance.
• Lead procurement for corporate operations and event delivery, covering production, audio‑visual services, venues, branding, furniture, catering, logistics, promotional items, and entertainment.
• Coordinate with internal stakeholders to prioritize requests and align procurement with project timelines.
• Negotiate pricing, payment terms, delivery schedules, and commercial conditions to achieve best value.
• Establish and maintain approved supplier relationships through evaluation, performance monitoring, and continuous improvement.
• Monitor purchasing expenditure against budgets, analyse spending trends, and identify cost‑saving opportunities.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, delegated authorities, contractual obligations, and governance requirements.
• Resolve supplier delivery issues, quality concerns, invoice discrepancies, and related risks to maintain business continuity.
• Support inventory planning and demand forecasting by aligning purchasing schedules with operational needs.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing full‑cycle purchasing activities.
• Strong negotiation skills and ability to secure favourable commercial terms.
• Experience in supplier evaluation, performance monitoring, and relationship management.
• Ability to analyse procurement data, monitor budgets, and drive cost‑saving initiatives.
• Knowledge of compliance requirements and procurement best practices.
