Quality Control Engineer – Construction (Riyadh)

About the role

We are looking for a qualified and detail‑oriented Quality Control Engineer to join our construction project team in Riyadh. The role involves ensuring that all construction activities comply with approved drawings, specifications, standards and quality requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Implement and monitor quality control procedures for on‑site construction activities.
• Inspect works and materials to verify compliance with drawings, specifications and project requirements.
• Prepare and submit Inspection Requests (IRs/WIRs) and coordinate inspections with consultants.
• Review method statements, material submittals, shop drawings and other technical documents.
• Identify non‑conformities, issue Non‑Conformance Reports (NCRs) and follow up on corrective actions.
• Maintain accurate quality records, inspection reports, checklists and related documentation.
• Coordinate with construction, engineering and project teams to achieve consistent quality standards.
• Monitor workmanship and material quality throughout the construction process.
• Ensure compliance with the project QA/QC plan, applicable codes, specifications and safety requirements.
• Participate in inspections, testing and quality‑related meetings, and close corrective and preventive actions in a timely manner.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Mechanical, Electrical or a related engineering discipline.
• Minimum 4 years of experience as a Quality Control Engineer on construction projects.
• Strong knowledge of quality standards, specifications, inspection procedures and construction practices.
• Experience working with consultants, contractors and third‑party inspectors.
• Site‑based construction experience is mandatory.

Required skills

• Proficiency with QA/QC documentation such as IRs, WIRs, NCRs, ITPs, method statements and checklists.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications and technical documents.
• Knowledge of construction inspection procedures and quality assurance processes.
