Quality Control Inspector – Assembly

About the role

The Quality Control Inspector – Assembly ensures that mechanical and electrical assemblies meet all engineering drawings, specifications, and functional requirements. You will conduct in‑process and final inspections, identify defects, and work with production and engineering teams to implement corrective actions before product release.

Key responsibilities

• Perform in‑process inspections of mechanical assemblies, checking fitment, alignment, dimensions, and component installation.
• Inspect electrical assemblies for correct wiring, connections, continuity, and component integration.
• Carry out final inspections to confirm that all components are installed, secured, and functioning as required.
• Verify assembly quality against drawings, BOMs, work instructions, and inspection criteria.
• Execute functional testing, document results, and maintain accurate inspection records.
• Identify, document, and report defects, non‑conformances, and deviations.
• Use digital measuring instruments, gauges, and inspection tools; ensure they are calibrated and maintained.
• Collaborate with Production and Engineering to investigate issues and drive corrective actions.
• Re‑inspect after corrective actions or rework to confirm compliance.

Required profile

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial Engineering, Quality, or a related technical field.
• Minimum 4 years of experience in industrial assembly inspection, preferably with electrical enclosures, sheet‑metal, or industrial equipment.
• Strong ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, assembly drawings, BOMs, and technical specifications.
• Excellent attention to detail and problem‑solving skills.
