Quality Inspector – Rolling Stock

About the role

Alstom is seeking a full‑time Quality Inspector for rolling‑stock projects in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. The role focuses on ensuring the quality of retrofit activities on trains and related equipment, working closely with cross‑functional teams to maintain compliance with Alstom’s quality plan and contractual requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and apply the Alstom Quality System on‑site, ensuring strict compliance.
• Support teams in meeting contractual technical requirements for rolling‑stock upgrades.
• Coordinate inspections, site visits, and incoming material checks with logistics, construction, and procurement teams.
• Prepare and verify quality records, checklists, and inspection‑test requests for each retrofit step.
• Conduct retrofit inspections, generate test requests, and follow up on non‑conformance reports (NCRs) and corrective actions.
• Interact with supplier quality teams, manage supplier NCRs, and update registers for inspections, NCRs, and calibration tests.
• Address customer complaints promptly and contribute to the Power Master Punch List implementation and DFQ readiness.

Required profile

• Engineering degree, preferably in Electromechanical Engineering.
• Understanding of rolling‑stock activities and special processes such as torquing, crimping, riveting, and gluing.
• Knowledge of quality management systems (QMS) and problem‑solving tools.
• Proficiency with Excel for reporting and tracking.
• Strong organisational skills and a collaborative team spirit.
